US Naval Academy. Built in 1845, the US Naval Academy fronts on
the Severn River and the Chesapeake Bay. Centered downtown is
the Maryland State Capitol.
Founded in 1645, Annapolis once served as the Capital of the
United States. Architecturally, Annapolis boasts some of the
finest 17th and 18th Century buildings in the country, including
the residences of all four Maryland signers of the Declaration
of Independence.
