This panoramic photo
shows a stunning twilight view of downtown San Antonio, one of
Texas’ most beautiful cities. In the distance, with its roof
supported by four spires, is the Alamodome. To its right is the
tall, slender Tower of the Americas, built during San Antonio’s
250th Anniversary. The tallest building on the right is the
30-story Weston Centre. Partially obscured behind Weston Centre,
with its brightly lit roof, is the Tower Life Building. The most
famous of San Antonio’s historic sites is the Alamo, built in
1718. In the course of history, the city has been under six
flags: France, Spain, Mexico, Republic of Texas, Confederate
States of America, and United States of America.
